Topic selection
We prioritize questions that help a reader complete a task, avoid an incompatible purchase, understand a technical limitation, or evaluate a workflow. We avoid publishing multiple articles that repeat the same answer without a distinct purpose.
Sources and verification
We prefer official documentation, manufacturer specifications, pricing pages, release notes, and original announcements. We distinguish a vendor’s claim from a result we have independently measured. A search snippet or retailer title alone is insufficient support for an important specification.
Testing and evaluations
Hands-on testing is identified only when it occurred. Research-based evaluations explain their scope and do not imply physical testing, measured performance, or personal use. Our review methodology describes the distinction.
Dates and updates
Articles display publication and update dates. We change an update date when the content is meaningfully revised or corrected, not simply to make an old article appear new. Time-sensitive claims are checked against current sources before publication.
